Commendations to the WASC staff!  They worked long hours on January 30 and 31 receiving training in CPR and First Aid to provide quality care for our students.

Instrumental Music Opportunities at the West After School Center

The 5th grade students pictured to the right and below have enjoyed opportunities to learn to play a musical instrument after school since last fall, utilizing instruments owned by our center and made possible by a 2004 grant from the Mr. Holland Opus Foundation. Mrs. Sue Ellen Simmons is the WASC instrumental music teacher. If you see one of these young musicians, encourage them to keep learning and participating in music classes the remainder of their years in school.
