WASC Early Learning Initiative Students Learn About Honey Bees, August 12.
This wonderful learning experience for young kids - many who have never seen live bees close up. Our thanks to Bill and Linda Huston (Bill is WASC Board member Tim Huston's brother) for sharing with our kids.
Many of the Early Learning Initiative (ELI) students are leaving our center for kindergarten. The feedback we are receiving back from parents who have taken their children to the kindergarten camp is that teachers are impressed that many of the children are already reading. They can write, rhyme, and count. The children are not hesitant in letting their new teachers know what they've learned at the West After School Center and the ELI program.
