The West After School Center was notified last week by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and the Governor’s Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives (GOFBCI) that we have been awarded a $43,000 grant as part of the FEED OHIO Summer Food Program to expand our summer lunch program this summer to three new sites in Lancaster – the playgrounds at Cedar Heights, Tallmadge, and South Elementary Schools. This program will operate in conjunction with what we have done in previous years at the WASC for the West School Community, the Eastside Center for Success at East School, and the Robert K. Fox Family YMCA. 					Friday Fun Day Musical Lesson at the WASC Our students enjoyed hands-on learning about handbells from members of the Celebration Ringers from the First Presbyterian Church on Friday, April 11.
FAMILY FESTIVAL EVENT IS A REAL TOSS IN THE AIR AT THE WASC     Students and adults alike enjoyed the Matt Jergens Juggling Show on April 10.  We are appreciative of the organizers of the Fairfield Family Festival for bringing this talented gentleman to us and sharing his "art."   .

My job was: a nurse and educational assistant. If not working at my job, I'd rather be: reading a book on a beach. If I did not live in Lancaster, I'd rather live: really nowhere else.
